Welcome to Himalayan Chewery
Himalayan Chewery is all about providing all natural goodness to your 4-legged friend.
About Us

"I first encountered Himalayan Yak the Spring of 2023 at the College of the Desert Farmer's Market in Palm Springs. I met up with a smaller reseller originally from Nepal as he hoped to gather up some weekend sales.
I was fascinated with the product and the origins from the Himalayan area.
16 months later we are ready to launch Himalayan Chewery!
My partner, Nick, and I sourced the specialty product in the high Himalyan area, which is transported back to the manufacturing hub in Nepal.
At the plant they operate a full organic process to help make and finally deliver the product to you as a healthy, natural treat for your furry friend.
This is the first batch of many that we hope we will manufacture continuously with your Support." - Herb Locke
Our Mission
Himalayan Chewery was founded with the mission to bring the natural goodness of Himalayan Yak Chews to dogs around the world. We believe in offering premium, all-natural chews that are not only delicious but also provide important dental benefits. Our team is committed to ensuring that every pet receives the love and care they deserve, starting with the treats they enjoy.
Our Team
Our team of Himalayan farmers in the most rural areas of the Himalayas in Nepal work hard to produce our delicious yak cheese. We use the milk from our yaks to create a unique and flavorful cheese that is unlike anything else. Our commitment to quality and sustainability is evident in every bite.

All Natural Yak Milk
Yak cheese chews are made by boiling yak milk until it thickens and forms a-like consistency. The cheese is then pressed and dried, resulting in a hard and chewy texture that dogs love. These chews are a great alternative to traditional rawhide chews and are a healthy and natural treat for your furry friend.
Meet the Himalayan Chewery Team

The Himalayan Chewery team processes and packages the Yak Cheese Chews right from the mountains on Nepal!
Our Process at Himalayan Chewery

1.
The Yak Milk is harvested from Yaks, which are located only in the Himalayan ranges at around 2700m to 4500m elevation levels.
2.
The Yak Milk is then churned and boiled, this causes the milk to curdle, and separate into solids and liquids.

3.
The curds are then poured into a cheesecloth strainer and pressed to remove the remaining moisture.
4.
When the curds have hardened, the cheese is cut, packaged, and sealed into our packaging to ensure freshness and directly shipped from Nepal.
